Persian tea is not only a tradition, it is a ritual. Tea is served in almost every gathering and is an extremely popular beverage among Iranians. Drinking tea for Persian people is a way to socialize, hang out and welcome their guests. The first thing offered when visiting someone’s home is usually tea. Persian tea could be ranked as the most popular beverage in Iran. Chai or Cha-ee is what we call it. Our self-serve Persian Samovar is brewing fresh authentic tea for our customers daily. Tasty spices such as cinnamon, cardamom and saffron will complement the flavor.
Traditionally Iranians make tea using a samovar. The teacups used in Iran are small glasses with a saucer and might not have a handle. The good quality tea leaves have a unique taste and perfume that is accented by brewing and steaming slowly using a samovar. Sometimes two different kinds of tea will be mixed to get the best taste and perfume. ( Culture of Iran )
